Still on the road -- but wanted to drop a bit on the blog and let folks know I'm still alive!
I'm in the land of rain at the moment, though I'm assured that there has indeed been a drought of late and this water is GREATLY appreciated by the locals, so I'll drive slow and safe, and enjoy what scenery I can make out between stops through the rain drops.

Happy Texas!
Notebook computers can be a great thing -- mine plays DVD, so my first night on the road I stopped early in a small town with no internet connection number (frustrating) and watched a DVD on my notebok while I waited out some MISERABLE weather! (Weather, bad, movie GOOD!)
Happy, Texas was a fun flick. A great example of why I love the deleted scenes on DVDs! In this case a lot of them are alternate attempts at dialogue that was in the movie. Different ways of presenting the same plot point -- in some cases changing the entire tone. It was a lot of fun to watch!
