Looks like I'm part of the latest craze!?!?!?!
Okay, another confession... my grandmother gave me her knitting needles about three years ago, knowing I liked to crochet (which another elder lady in the family taught me when I was 9) with hopes I would teach myself to knit, and I've been thinking about doing just that... so... what did I find on yahoo today???
Young urban Americans get enthused over knitting
People of all ages, male and female, also young people, are discovering or returning to the favored pastime of their grandmothers.
I have to agree with the guy who says these are not cheap hobbies, but I have read in articles in the past that knitting and crocheting have a zen like nature... they get a person to really relax and unwind, and given how stressful the last few months have been for me that theory would explain why my return to crocheting has helped me relax considerably.
Okay, I confess, I like crocheting.
Making blankets at home and such is, according to some, an oldfashioned kind of thing to do, but I enjoy it... and now that I've discovered this heavenly soft yarn I may have to invest a little bit of money in this hobby.
