I confess...

I'm looking forward to USA Networks' remake of Spartacus. I'm hopeful the 4 hour miniseries will be pleasing to the eye... the images they've put out so far certainly reflect a great deal of effort to meet that hope!

Sunday April 18 for SPARTACUS

Goran Visnjic (ER) stars in Spartacus, based on the epic tale of one man's leadership during one of history's most legendary fights for freedom.

In 72 B.C., a time when the Roman Empire's brutal force was far-reaching, each conquered country meant new slaves to do the bidding of their Roman masters. Sold into slavery as a young boy after witnessing his father's murder, Spartacus eventually grew up to lead a slave revolt against Rome's powerful generals and politicians. The profound impact of Spartacus' challenge to the Roman Empire in the name of freedom was felt for years to come.

Well, I got back from two weeks on the road only to have one of the zillions of e-mails I had missed take my poor little notebook down with a virus. So, not really feeling like dealing with the problem on my own, and hoping to save the writing I did on the trip and had not yet backed up, I sent my computer off to the computer doctor who hopes to have it back to me in a week or so... which means all next week I'll be trying to figure out how to spend time online and writing...

Then again... maybe my computer decided I've been working too hard and had earned a week long vacation?

Hmm, that does sound like a nice take on this turn of events.
